Privacy policy

This policy explains how Nexus Labs handles the personal data it receives through this website, bynexuslabs.com, in particular through its contact form. Nexus Labs is a Chilean company, and we wrote this policy under Chile's Law No. 19,628 on the protection of private life and Law No. 21,719, which amends it. If you are in another country, we also recognize the rights the data protection law that applies to you grants you, such as the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation or Brazil's Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados.

1. Who is responsible for your data

The controller is NEXUS LABS SpA ("Nexus Labs"), RUT 78.527.203-K. Middleout is a Nexus Labs product, and its website has its own privacy policy.

For any question about your data, or to exercise your rights, write to support@bynexuslabs.com. That is our official channel for receiving and answering requests about personal data.

2. What data we collect

When you write to us through the contact form, you give us your name, your email, your country, what you are after (one problem or a whole product), your message and, if you want, your company's name.

In addition, to protect the form from abuse, we use your IP address and your email temporarily: we turn them into a code from which they cannot be recovered, keep it only in the server's memory, never in a database, and discard it after one hour. Our servers also log technical data about each request (date, path, result, your IP address and your browser) for security and to fix errors. Before you send the form, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person, not an automated program, is sending it; to do so, your browser gives Cloudflare your IP address and technical data about your browser and device.

This website uses no tracking cookies and no analytics or advertising tools.

3. What we use it for

• Answering your message. We use the form's data only to read your message, reply to you by email and confirm that we got it. We do so because you wrote to us. Writing to us does not subscribe you to marketing communications.
• Keeping the website secure and preventing abuse of the form.

We do not sell your data.

4. Who we share it with

Only with providers that serve us and process the data on our behalf, under our instructions:

• Google Cloud, which hosts the website and its technical logs.
• Resend, which delivers the form's messages to us and sends you the confirmation that we got yours.
• Cloudflare, which checks that whoever sends the form is a person (Cloudflare Turnstile).

These providers store data in the United States, and Cloudflare also processes it in the countries where it has servers, so your data is transferred outside Chile and, if you live elsewhere, outside your country. We do so with the safeguards of the data processing agreements we signed with each provider, which include standard contractual clauses for international transfers.

We may also disclose data when a law or a competent authority requires it.

5. How long we keep it

• The form's messages, which we keep not on the website but in the team's email, for up to 24 months from our last exchange, unless you ask us to delete them sooner or become a client.
• The codes used against abuse, one hour.
• The servers' technical logs, up to 30 days.

6. Your rights

Regarding your personal data, you can ask us to:

• Access it and know how we process it.
• Correct it if it is inaccurate or incomplete.
• Delete it.
• Stop processing it for a given purpose.
• Give it to you in a structured format to take it to another service.
• Temporarily block its processing.

To exercise them, write to support@bynexuslabs.com from the email you used in the form. We will reply within 30 calendar days of receiving your request. If we need more time, we will let you know, and that period may be extended once by up to 30 more calendar days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can file a complaint with the competent data protection authority.

7. How we protect it

Data travels encrypted between your browser and our servers. The website keeps it in no database: messages arrive in an email inbox that only the people at Nexus Labs who need them to reply to you can access.

8. Minors

Nexus Labs serves businesses. This website is not aimed at people under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page with its date.
